Senior Launch: Professional Skills for Career Success

This professional development conference, exclusively for Tufts seniors, will help you launch your career.

Whether you are starting your job search, have secured a position, or are planning on graduate school, this will be an ideal opportunity to learn tips from national experts on presentation skills, leveraging social media, managing your finances and more.

Joan is a passionate advocate for young leaders and has over 13 years of corporate management experience working in the roles of sales, marketing, training, and development in the pharmaceutical industry. After a decade as a campus speaker, mentor and coach to thousands of Millennials from around the world, Joan Snyder Kuhl launched Why Millennials Matter. WMM is a Gen-Y research and consulting company that focuses on raising awareness to employers about the value of investing in their younger workforce. As a long-time volunteer for non-profits that inspire confidence and personal success in young men and women, she helped launch the Frances Hesselbein Global Academy for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement. Briana Bouchard, 2014

Mechanical Engineering & Biomedical Engineering

CEO/Co-Founder, Protector Medical

Briana graduated this past spring with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a second major in Biomedical Engineering. During her senior year at Tufts, Briana and three classmates designed the ivProtek, a pediatric medical device used in securing patient IVs. The project was entered in the Tufts Gordon Institute 100K New Ventures Competition and received second place award. Since graduation, Briana has been working part time for Apple in their technical support department, which allows her to continue to develop the ivProtek with a plan of launching the product next year.


Weverton Tiago Prado, 2013

Weverton is a LATAM Associate Trader at The Debt Exchange (DebtX). He is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with secondary market investors in Latin America. Prior to joining DebtX, Mr. Prado interned at the MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo) and the Morgan Stanley Sao Paulo office in Brazil, among others.

Jeff graduated with a degree in political science. He served briefly in Governor Deval Patrick’s administration as Assistant Director of Government Affairs. Jeff currently works in the Massachusetts legislature, serving as Legislative Director to Representative Cory Atkins, Chairwoman of the Committee on Tourism, the Arts, and Cultural Development.

Marian serves as an AmeriCorps member at Boston Health Care for the Homeless program and plans on attending medical school this fall. Her future goal is to work in primary care with underserved communities.

Angelina is a research strategist on the Consumer & Business Intelligence team at Hill Holliday, where she works across accounts including TJX Companies, Bank of America, and Partners HealthCare. Prior to Hill, she worked in brand strategy at Mullen and Allen & Gerritsen. Most recently, she produced Hacking Arts (a festival & hackathon at the MIT Media Lab) in collaboration with the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Center for Art, Science, and Technology, and Design Exchange Boston (a design & innovation conference) with AIGA Boston. She occasionally writes for Big Red & Shiny (Boston's online art journal), assists regularly with special programs at the ICA Boston, and serves on the board of the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston.
